Vancouver Symphony School of Music

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's School of Music is a long awaited extension to their home at The Orpheum. Twenty years in gestation, it is a tribute to project leaders Pesident Jeff Alexander and Artistic Director Bramwell Tovey. The facility includes a myriad of practice studios, lecture halls and the highly praised Pyatt Recital Hall. Pyatt Hall, among other things is used for Master Classes for the students. It can be configured in a number of geometries with its flexible seating and floor levels that can be raised or lowered at the touch of a button. Acoustic curtains, well hidden by the wooden slats on the side walls allow the room to serve the acoustically diverse needs of music and lectures.
